Two exclusive jade pieces, a bracelet and earrings, designed by Solange are to be auctioned on April 3rd 2012 by Sotheby’s in Hong Kong. These pieces are the quintessence of Solange’s style – modern in their design yet vintage in the mix of materials and construction.
Both the bracelet and earrings play on the number 8, symbol of prosperity and wealth in Asia. The bracelet is composed of a succession of 5 octagons connected by diamond links. All 8 sides are accentuated by vibrant red rubies. The earrings re-interpret the number 8 by mixing a snake like body of emeralds with two incredible pieces of carved jade, showcasing and glorifying the ancestral know-how of Asian jade craftsmen.
