With more than 300 stores across the UK under its name, H. Samuel started out small – as a small clock-making business in Liverpool in 1862. The first H. Samuel retail store opened in Preston in 1890, quickly branching out to other cities, and expanding its business to include the trade and manufacturing of jewelry. By 1970, H. Samuel had 200 stores nationwide. In the early 1990s, the company underwent a restructure, and the group changed name to The Signet Group – today the largest specialty jewelry retailer in the US, UK and Canada. Read More
