Sting’s daughter musician Eliot Sumner sits in a conference room in Tbilisi, Georgia, talking about her daily look. Yes, that’s right: Sumner is in the country of Georgia, starring in the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Tbilisi global campaign, alongside model Lucie von Alten. In fact, she’s been on a bit of a fashion roll lately: Sumner also fronted the Fall 2016 Armani Exchange campaign. And today, she looks the campaign part, too, effortlessly cool and totally barefaced, with a bit of an androgynous vibe, dressed in a head-to-toe black look of baggy shorts over athletic leggings, and a hoodie. Her accessories are minimal except for a necklace with a USB and two dagger charms. “It’s comfortable and lazy and consistent,” says Sumner about her look. Though she likes hyped-about labels like Gosha Rubchinskiy, Boris Bidjan, and Rick Owens, and has already fronted two campaigns, Sumner considers fashion a relatively new part of her life. She initially entered the industry three years ago by way of music. “I started working with a guy named [musician] Clint Mansell who only wears black, and I thought that was really cool, so I started wearing black as well,” she says. “Then I discovered Rick, Boris, and all these really awesome designers. So music does influence how I dress—sort of goth-punk style.” Though she considers her look relatively easygoing, don’t expect Sumner to switch things up anytime soon. “I put on a green T-shirt the other day and people were weirded out by it,” says the 26-year-old. “I’m a creature of habit, so I wear the same thing every day.” Never has an outfit repeat looked so good.
