Katy Perry Has a Major Fashion Moment in Black and White

Katy Perry Has a Major Fashion Moment in Black and White

Vogue

Earlier today in Hollywood, Katy Perry came out to celebrate Capitol Records’s 75th anniversary in bold fashion. The singer, who is signed to the label, has made waves with attention-making outfits over the past few weeks, particularly on the campaign trail for Hillary Clinton—the electric blue Prabal Gurung cape emblazoned with the words I’m with Madam President that she wore to a rally in Philadelphia just days before the election was a prime example. Her most recent look was decidedly more demure while still managing to make a major fashion statement. Indeed, Perry put her love of elaborate trains, bold colors, and fanciful embellishments to one side, opting instead for a minimalist silhouette, spare black-and-white palette, spare black and white palette, and carefully chosen accessories, namely David Webb’s diamond drop earrings and Giuseppe Zanotti patent stilettos. There was a noticeable twist of drama in the asymmetric, pleated top though, which paired nicely with her simple cropped trousers.
