Diamonds in the LibraryHair jewels have been gradually creeping up on us for the last few years; first in tiny increments, and now with all the enthusiasm of a full-blown trend.
I am fully, fully, here for hair jewels. They’re joyful, exuberant, opulent, whimsical, and tiara-adjacent. They’re also marvelously scalable: you can enjoy this trend at diamond or rhinestone prices, depending on your budget. You can rock one shimmering bobby pin or cover your head in glimmering, lustrous waterfalls of pearls.
This look is from Jennifer Behr. The individual elements are very simple – straight barrettes embellished with rhinestones or pearls – but the overall effect is stunning.
Sparkling hair clips and hair jewels are not a new idea, of course.
