Yesterday, my son and I were looking at the calendar and he said, "What is Labor Day, Mama?" I told him it was a day to honor workers and spend leisure time ("What is leisure time, Mama?"). Ideally, no working on that day! And that made me re-think the Labor Day Sale Event stuff that happens every year on the interwebs and in the big box shops.
I believe in keeping the long, Labor Day weekend free for fun and family (no labor!) so I will be turning off my desk light this Friday afternoon and heading outside to enjoy the weekend. One last hurrah before we all jump in the deep end that is "back to school." I hope that you can plan to be computer and work-free for a bit, too. That means no online shopping, too!✨
That said, I do have lots of summer jewels to move out before I stock up for the holidays, so a little sale is still in order. The compromise is this: The shop is set for an "Early Bird (not-a-Labor-Day) Sale," with 25% off, running ONLY until Friday afternoon. There won't be any surprise increased discounts or extensions. TONS of great deals for a few days and then let's LOG OUT and go to the beach, the woods, gym . . . wherever we find our peace this weekend.
